Studying in Sivasagar, Assam

KKHSOU (Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University) is the state open university of Assam, and Assam also has many regular colleges and universities. Wherever you are in Assam, the steps in this guide stay the same, so use them as a checklist. Ayush Academy is based in Bhangagarh, Guwahati. From Sivasagar you can start with the enquiry form or a call, without travelling first.

Network and travel can be a challenge in hilly and remote areas. Keep documents ready digitally and ask which steps can be done online.

Degree options

BCA, B.Sc in computer science, B.Tech and MCA are common routes. Which one fits depends on your stream, marks and time.

Skill courses

Short courses in programming, web development or data skills can add to a degree. Choose practical courses where you build real projects.

How to judge a course

Look at what you will build by the end, who teaches, and whether you get support. A certificate alone does not teach skills.

Start small

Try a free beginner lesson online before you commit money. If you like it, go deeper.

Skills employers look for

Employers value problem solving, clear communication and projects you have built. A degree helps, but your own work shows what you can do.

Building a portfolio

Make two or three small projects and put them online with a short description. Keep the code tidy.

Mixing degree and skills

Many students take a degree and add short skill courses in web or data work. This can fit well with a regular college schedule.

Quick tip

Involve a parent or a trusted friend when you take the final decision.

Quick checklist

  • Check eligibility for BCA and B.Tech
  • Decide degree or skill course
  • Try a beginner lesson online
  • Compare fees
  • Plan practice time daily

Before you pay anything

  • Paying before you have read the official notice for your programme.
  • Choosing only on the lowest fee or the biggest name, without checking approval and fit.
  • Leaving documents and forms to the last date.
  • Not keeping receipts, messages and notices in one safe place.
