IGNOU is one of the best-known open universities in India. This guide helps students in Tezpur understand how IGNOU admission usually works.
Studying in Tezpur, Assam
KKHSOU (Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University) is the state open university of Assam, and Assam also has many regular colleges and universities. Wherever you are in Assam, the steps in this guide stay the same, so use them as a checklist. Ayush Academy is based in Bhangagarh, Guwahati. From Tezpur you can start with the enquiry form or a call, without travelling first.
Network and travel can be a challenge in hilly and remote areas. Keep documents ready digitally and ask which steps can be done online.
What IGNOU offers
IGNOU runs many certificate, diploma, bachelor's and master's programmes through open and distance learning. Programmes and eligibility are listed on IGNOU's official website.
Admission cycles
IGNOU usually opens admission at set times in the year. Dates and rules change, so check the official notice before you plan.
How study works
You receive study material, assignments and term-end exams, with support through a study centre. You need to manage your own time.
How we help
Ayush Academy guides students through choosing a programme and completing the admission steps. Fees and eligibility are as per IGNOU's current rules.
Choosing the programme
Read the programme guide on IGNOU's website. Check the duration, eligibility, fee and exam pattern. Choose the one that fits your goal rather than the cheapest.
Study centres
IGNOU study support is through regional centres and study centres. Ask which centre will be linked to you and how to reach it.
Exams and assignments
Assignments and term-end exams are part of most programmes. Note the last dates for assignments, as missing them can affect your result.
Write your questions down before a counselling call so nothing is missed.
