Studying in Nongstoin, Meghalaya

Meghalaya has North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) in Shillong and several colleges, and many students also compare distance options. Wherever you are in Meghalaya, the steps in this guide stay the same, so use them as a checklist. Ayush Academy is based in Bhangagarh, Guwahati. From Nongstoin you can start with the enquiry form or a call, without travelling first.

Many families in the region plan together. Share the options and the full cost with your family before you decide.

Eligibility exams

Teaching jobs may need eligibility tests such as TET or CTET. Rules, dates and syllabus are announced by the official bodies, so follow their notices.

Where teachers work

Government schools, private schools, coaching and online teaching are the main routes. Each has its own hiring process.

Build your profile

Keep your degree papers in order and gain classroom experience. A short demo teaching video can help.

Keep learning

Add subject knowledge and basic computer skills. They help in every school.

TET and other exams

Teacher eligibility tests are run by official bodies. Read the notice for eligibility, pattern and dates.

Private schools and coaching

Private schools hire through interviews and demo classes. Prepare a lesson plan and a short demo.

Online teaching

Online teaching needs a quiet space, a stable connection and clear explanations. Start small and build a profile.

Quick tip

Compare at least two options before you pay for any one of them.

Quick checklist

  • Keep B.Ed papers in order
  • Check TET or CTET notices
  • Practise teaching
  • Prepare a short demo
  • Learn basic computer skills

Before you pay anything

  • Paying before you have read the official notice for your programme.
  • Choosing only on the lowest fee or the biggest name, without checking approval and fit.
  • Leaving documents and forms to the last date.
  • Not keeping receipts, messages and notices in one safe place.
